For nearly 100 years, the physicians and staff at Lexington Clinic have been meeting the healthcare needs of Central Kentucky. To celebrate the centennial, Lexington Clinic is unveiling a new, refreshed logo. The new logo represents the hard work and dedication that has carried Lexington Clinic through the past century, as well as the innovation and ingenuity that will carry the organization to the next 100 years. This refreshed logo also represents the strong roots Lexington Clinic has in Central Kentucky.
While the look may change, Lexington Clinic’s mission to perfect the patient experience has not. Lexington Clinic physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and staff currently see more than 2,000 patients daily, providing medical care to more than 600,000 people of all ages – from newborns to geriatric patients – every year, and will continue to provide the highest quality care possible.
Lexington Clinic has a rich history of innovation and superior care: Lexington Clinic established the first radiology department in Lexington in 1925 and the first cardiac care unit – at St. Joseph’s Hospital – in the 1960s.
This spirit of innovation and transformation continues to this day, as the organization adapts to the changing needs and expectations of its patients.
Lexington Clinic’s award-winning Direct-to-Employer (DTE) program is an example of this. The DTE program allows progressive employers to contract with Lexington Clinic to provide personalized healthcare to their employees and their families, including preventive services and management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and COPD. The program has helped employers lower their healthcare costs while improving healthcare quality for their employees and a healthier community for all.
Recognizing that modern life is busy and patients often don’t have time to wait for a scheduled appointment, especially for an acute problem, Lexington Clinic also provides walk-in care at three convenient locations: Lexington Clinic Andover, Lexington Clinic Beaumont and Jessamine Medical and Diagnostics Center. In addition, Lexington Clinic also offers an orthopedic walk-in clinic, located at 700 Bob-O-Link Drive in Lexington (open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday), along with a sports injury drop-in clinic, where any athlete with a sudden or recent sports-related injury can stop in for evaluation by a physician (arrive by 7:30 a.m. to be seen).
The importance of primary care
Lexington Clinic is committed to perfecting the patient experience and providing the people of Central Kentucky with the best possible care. At the heart of that mission is a belief that every person should have a primary care provider, no matter how old or young. The primary care provider helps patients maintain their health, or assists throughout the treatment journey during and following injury or illness. The primary care provider is responsible for providing a point of contact for all healthcare needs.
For this reason, Lexington Clinic provides primary care services at numerous locations throughout Central Kentucky:
