In the earliest days of our nation’s history, medical care was provided by the small country doctor at the house. Since the 1970’s, there has been a growing number of healthcare providers across the spectrum providing care to the elderly, frail and disabled. It is really a great alternative for a more personalized, individualized approach to medical care. Most every type of medical exam can be performed in the home, and for those with mobility limitations, this can be a huge convenience. Medicare and Medicaid, as well as many major insurers provide insurance reimbursement to providers providing care to our nations frail and vulnerable populations. A home care provider may be a physician (MD), doctor of osteopathy (DO), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Here at Bluegrass Mobile Medical Services, you will be cared for by a nationally board certified nurse practitioner with experience in the home care industry. A home visit has many advantages, including the opportunity to have a more personalized visit. Your nurse practitioner will spend the time needed to get to the bottom of your problem, and work with you to construct a treatment plan of care based on your wishes, cultural beliefs, and personal preference.
